How to make it
For one batch, about 6 bath bombs: 400 grams baking soda, 200 grams citric acid, 100 grams Epsom salt, 100 grams cornstarch, 40 grams oil (coconut, almond or olive), 10 grams essential oil or fragrance and 10 grams water or witch hazel.
- Mix the dry part. Whisk the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt and cornstarch in a dry bowl. Break up any lumps.
- Mix the wet part. In a small cup, mix the oil, the fragrance and any colour.
- Combine slowly. Drizzle the wet part in while you whisk. Mist with water or witch hazel until it holds together like damp sand when squeezed. Too much and it fizzes now, not in the bath.
- Pack and dry. Press it firmly into moulds, tip out after a few minutes, and dry for 24 to 48 hours before you wrap them.
